Amazing! Much better than any other. Fresh ingredients, princess sauce was fantastic.

I was driving up north last summer and we stopped at a gas station for snacks and I grabbed a Princess Shawarma wrap - it was pretty tasty for gas station food. I work down the street from this location and I always forget about it, being it is on the back side of a gas station. Today I decided to give it a shot thanks to a memory of the wrap from last summer. So this is basically a Mediterranean Subway/Chipolte/Q'doba. Build your own bowl or wrap. I tried to go traditional Shawarma, garlic, pickles and added lettuce. I also got the onion rings, because, why not? Well because they are not that great. Basically deep fried store bought onion rings. They weren't bad but they were nothing special. The garlic was great, the chicken was pretty good, the wrap did not stay wrapped and it was messy. I could distinctly taste cinnamon, which I understand is part of the flavors but typically I can't pick it out. The chicken was moist and over all the food hit the spot.

Ordered carry out based on yelp reviews and was pleasantly surprised with the size of the medium salad. I had a bit left over and the chicken was cooked nicely.

WOW. Seriously. Hands down the BEST Mediterranean food I have had in months. I can't speak much on the service or ambience as I placed a DoorDash order but my food was DELICIOUS! Nice hearty portions, the small bowl filled me up! Fries could've use a bit more seasoning though. Excited to stop by sometime soon!

Woww, this might be the best Mediterranean food I've had in some time! I got the Build Your Own Bowl with Chicken Shawarma, veggies, & tzatziki sauce. It was sooo yummy and flavorful, generous serving size, and everything tasted very fresh. I also tried the Beef Kabob Slider, and don't let this name food you! It is quite large, more like a burger size. It was pretty yummy, I just dont think I care for the kabob texture, its new to me. The Garlic Dip was tangy, pungent, and delicious. My ONLY complaint is that I wish they allowed you to order pita bread or chips on the side on Doordash.

A friend of mine and I stopped here as a random outing and we didn't expect in to be in a gas station but after one of the other customers chimed in and talking with the manager/owner we were impressed. Rightfully so! He also made a scratch random hummus like what was on the menu (that they don't produce at this location) and it was as good as I expected. And it was fresh hummus from that morning. And the staff was kind and willing to answer all/any questions so it was good as expected and it felt. And the bowl my friend got and the pita wrap I grabbed had a lot to it. And the princess sauce it really good. Feels like it should be busier in the gas station but not crazy there at all. Great place! And a good feel. I haven't done a lot of Mediterranean around town or here in Royal Oak but I've traveled around the country ALOT and Highly recommend

I was originally heading to a different place to pick up dinner, but on a whim, I stopped in at Princess Mediterranean Grill. It's right where the entrance of the former Ruby Tuesday was at 12 Mile and Orchard Lake. (Oh, how I miss the Ruby Tuesday salad bar!) It was nearly 6:00, but nobody else was there, and the young woman seemed rather bored -- as I would have been. But, she was very helpful when I explained that I hadn't been there before. I really love the places where you build your own bowls. I mixed rice with grilled veggies for the base and had chicken shawarma for the protein. I got a small bowl, but she packed it really well. When I got home, it nearly filled one of my large salad bowls! Everything was very fresh and well-seasoned. I would say that the only problem with this place is the same as it was for Ruby Tuesday -- making it into the parking lot from the other side of the street! I will definitely come back here, and I will also try the other store that's closer to my house on Orchard Lake.

I received an ad in the mail for this restaurant's grand opening and was excited to try it when I learned it was the same concept as Mr. Kabob, with building your own bowls! They also have sliders, wraps, soup, salad, and more. When I walked in, it was a bright, clean environment with friendly employees to greet me. I went with the large bowl and had bulgur; 1/2 chicken shawarma, 1/2 falafel; hummus; lettuce; pickles; feta; and tahini sauce. I love the bulgur as a healthier whole grain option compared to rice or couscous. It was seasoned well (just like the couscous at Mr. Kabob) and mixed with some vermicelli. It definitely helps you stay full for longer after the meal. The falafel seasoning was top notch, but I wish it was crunchier on the outside (it was just chewy). So flavor was great, but texture could use some improvement. The chicken shawarma was delicious - it was seasoned so well and made on the vertical pit/rotisserie (as was their beef shawarma). It wasn't dry at all, even though they use breast meat. The meat also tasted very fresh. They provided a generous amount of protein in the bowl. There was a wide variety of options for add ons, although I wish they had pita chips to dip into the hummus (which is an unlisted add-on option and also good, albeit not super flavorful). I will say, it's pretty pricy compared to Mr. Kabob (although they give you more protein here, and they use more expensive white meat as opposed to thigh meat at Mr. Kabob. It was $13 for a large bowl and $3 to add feta cheese, $16 total! $3 just for feta seems too steep for me, but I will say the feta was really good and not as dry and crumbly as others I've had. I also wasn't happy to see a processing fee on my receipt for using a credit card. I didn't see that posted anywhere in the restaurant, but I could've missed it. Basically, you are paying a premium for higher quality ingredients. With how fresh and delicious all the ingredients are, I highly recommend this place! I definitely want to return and try their beef shawarma next time.
